Whether you are a school exploring a partnership, a parent looking for afterschool care, or someone interested in joining our team, we are here to help.
Select the option that best describes you and we'll take it from there.
Yes. BrightPath Academy is registered with Tusla and parents can avail of the National Childcare Scheme (NCS), subject to meeting the scheme's eligibility criteria and guidelines.
The National Childcare Scheme provides financial support towards the cost of childcare for eligible families, helping to make quality afterschool care more affordable.
If you are eligible for NCS funding, we will guide you through the process of applying your subsidy to your child's afterschool place. If you have any questions about the scheme or how it works, our team will be happy to help.
For more information about the National Childcare Scheme and eligibility, please visit the official NCS website or contact us directly.
Yes. BrightPath Academy is registered with Tusla, the Child and Family Agency, and operates in accordance with the regulations and quality standards for School Age Childcare services in Ireland.
Tusla registration provides families with reassurance that our service is independently regulated and inspected, and that we meet the required standards for children's safety, health, welfare and wellbeing.
As a Tusla-registered provider, eligible families can also avail of the National Childcare Scheme (NCS), subject to the scheme's terms and eligibility criteria.
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and continuously reviewing our policies, procedures and practices to ensure we provide a safe, nurturing and high-quality afterschool experience for every child.
Yes. A booking deposit is required to secure your child's place at BrightPath Academy.
The booking deposit is: 250 EUR per child, or 350 EUR per family (where more than one child is attending).
The deposit is held on your account and will be credited against your final month's fees, provided one month's written notice is given when ending your child's place at BrightPath Academy.
For families with more than one child attending, the family deposit remains on the account until the last child leaves the service. If one sibling leaves while another continues to attend, the deposit will remain in place to secure the remaining child's place and will be applied against the final month's fees when the last child leaves, provided one month's written notice has been given.
This policy helps us manage enrolments fairly while ensuring places are reserved for families who intend to use the service.
Absolutely. We welcome children of all abilities and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child can participate and enjoy our programmes. Every child is unique, so we work with families on a case by case basis to understand your child's individual needs and determine how we can best support them.
Before a child starts, we will discuss any additional supports, medical needs or accommodations that may help them take part safely and successfully.
While we do our best to make our programme accessible, there may be occasions where a child's needs require dedicated 1:1 support that we are unable to provide within our staff ratios and group setting. In these situations, our priority is always the safety and wellbeing of every child. If we are unable to meet a child's support needs safely, we will discuss this openly and respectfully with the family.
BrightPath Academy operates in line with Tusla regulations for School Age Childcare services, maintaining a minimum adult-to-child ratio of 1:12.
We carefully plan our staffing levels to ensure children are supervised at all times and receive the support they need in a safe, engaging and well-managed environment.
Where the needs of the group require it, we may provide additional staff to ensure the safety, wellbeing and quality of the programme for all children.
Yes. We are happy to support children in attending school-based extracurricular activities while they are enrolled in the BrightPath Academy afterschool programme.
Where agreed with the school, our team can accompany children to and from their extracurricular activity, ensuring they transition safely between the activity and our afterschool programme.
As your child's afterschool place, staffing and supervision remain in place for the duration of their booked session, there is no reduction in afterschool fees if they attend a school extracurricular activity during that time.
If your child will be taking part in a school activity, please let us know in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Yes. We provide a supervised homework period each afternoon, giving children a quiet opportunity to begin or complete their homework before going home.
Our team is available to encourage children, keep them focused and offer general support where appropriate. However, our staff are not primary school teachers and are not trained to teach the primary school curriculum. For this reason, parents remain responsible for checking and signing off their child's homework each evening.
If your child does not complete all their homework during the session, we will let you know. We also ask that parents continue to complete reading practice at home, as this is an important part of supporting your child's learning.
We encourage children to take part in homework time, but we do not force them to complete their homework. If a child becomes distressed or refuses to engage, our priority is to support their emotional wellbeing and maintain a positive environment. In these situations, we will inform parents and ask that they speak with their child about the importance of making the most of homework time in afterschool.
Our aim is to provide a calm, supportive environment that encourages children to develop positive homework habits while recognising that every child has different needs.
Yes. We provide two delicious, nutritious snacks each day to keep children fueled and ready to enjoy the afternoon's activities.
Our snack menus are carefully planned to offer a variety of balanced, child-friendly options and are shared with parents in advance. We cater for children with diagnosed allergies and other dietary requirements where possible, and we ask parents to let us know about any dietary needs during the registration process.
We encourage children to enjoy snack time together as a relaxed, social part of the afternoon, helping to promote healthy eating habits and positive conversations with their peers.
We will take appropriate measures when children are ill and that all children with medical needs receive proper care and support whilst in the service, including administering medication if required, especially in an emergency situation.
If your child requires medication, please discuss this with the service manager and review our Administration of Medication policy.
At BrightPath Academy, we welcome all feedback. Whether you would like to share a compliment, raise a concern or make a complaint, your feedback helps us recognise what we are doing well and identify opportunities to improve our service.
In the first instance, we encourage you to speak with your Service Manager, who will be happy to discuss any feedback with you and provide a copy of our Compliments and Complaints Policy.
Alternatively, you can contact us by emailing info@brightpathacademy.ie. All compliments, concerns and complaints are treated respectfully, handled confidentially where appropriate, and managed in accordance with our Compliments and Complaints Policy.
We are committed to listening, responding fairly and working with families to resolve concerns in a timely and positive manner.
